Measuring Your Caravan and Motorhome

Measuring your caravan for your full Awning

The "A" measurement, (see dagram below), is the distance from the ground to the awning rail, up the height and then along the length of the rail and back down to the ground.

It is very important that you get this measurement right to ensure that you select the correct awning for your caravan. Whist this information may well be in your owners manual, we recommend that you double check for peace of mind.

Measuring your caravan for Porch Awnings

The main measurements required are the height of your caravan from the ground and the lenght where the roof is mainly flat.

You may also wish to measure the distance to and location of any windows near the door so that your porch awning does not interfere with the windows. Measuring the the width of the door and looking at which way it opens will help in ensuring that the door is not hampered by the awning.

Measuring your caravan for a Cover

By measuring the lenght of your caravan at it's longest part, you will be able to specify the correct lenght of cover you require.

Measuring your motorhome for a Cover

As with a caravan, measure the longest part of your motorhome to ensure that you purchase the correct cover.
